**Job Title: Installation Technician**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Installation Technician who will play a vital role in completing customer projects by assembling, installing, and reconfiguring furniture in various settings. The successful candidate will have the ability to lift heavy items, read tape measures, and use hand tools while following blueprints and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
+ Pull products from the warehouse and load/unload trucks at dock and street levels.
+ Carry products up and down stairs and stage them for installation.
+ Assemble, align, and level systems furniture; install and verify the functionality of electrical components.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites during and after installation.
+ Review floor plans before and during installations to ensure critical dimensions are met.
+ Communicate effectively with internal teams and the General Contractor regarding issues, concerns, and feedback.
+ Work with project managers and logistics to determine unloading locations, staging areas, and access hours.
+ Perform special applications such as wall mounting, leveling, structural connections, and custom modifications.
+ Attend team meetings and complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
+ Proficiency in reading tape measures and instructional blueprints.
+ Experience with small hand tools.
+ Basic math skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in contracting, installation, carpentry, or furniture assembly is preferred.
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools.

Work Environment
Work primarily in the Des Moines area across various corporate buildings, small businesses, schools, and government facilities. The warehouse is divided into furniture and supply sections. Be prepared to work in different temperatures and lift up to 100 lbs. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm, with some flexibility based on project needs. The dress code requires candidates to bring their own gloves, knee pads, and steel-toed shoes. Our team, consisting of 12 warehouse employees and 25 installers, is divided into project-based crews, offering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $22.00/hr.
