**Job Title: Office Furniture Installer** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Furniture Installer to work in the construction industry, responsible for completing furniture installations according to specifications. The role involves mounting cabinets, cubbies, counters, or bookshelves before business occupancy. **Responsibilities** + Deliver and assemble furniture at commercial job sites. + Follow blueprints and instructions to determine furniture assembly and placement. + Load and unload trucks with furniture. + Install furniture according to blueprints or job tickets. + Mount cabinets and bookshelves. + Prepare and clean up the job site. + Assemble furniture as needed. + Maintain a safe and clean workspace. + Use hand and power tools daily. + Responsible for assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation of modular office furniture systems. + Review floor plans and exercise space planning. + Problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision making. + Inspect furniture for proper operability as per manufacturer’s guidelines. + Ensure organization and compliance with company policies, procedures, and protocols. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of experience with hand and power tools. + Ability to read a tape measure. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Effective communication skills. + Positive representation of the company. + Familiarity with basic hand tools. + Ability to follow directions. + Physical strength to perform heavy lifting. + Mechanical skills. + Previous carpentry or construction experience using hand and power tools is a plus. **Why Work Here** Join a locally owned and operated company with a proven team providing a wealth of experience and knowledge to ensure project success. The work environment is customer-focused, committed to completing projects on budget, on time, and without hassle or disruption. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
