The DuPont Pencader Site currently has an opening for an Inspector in Newark, DE!

This is a day shift role that would be responsible for the inspection of components and finished product received from Direct Form (DF), Shapes, Machine Shops and Vendors. If you are an outgoing, detail-oriented individual, then this is the role for you!

Typical duties of an Inspector include, but are not limited to:

Provide input for inspection methods and improvements of inspection technique.

Assist Material Review Board in the investigation of dimensional related complaints.

Use statistical analysis to determine characteristic acceptability.

Write Non Conformance material reports when required and be familiar with the process of quarantining product.

Perform First Articles and layout inspection for PPAP and Aerospace parts.

Maintain information systems. Complete accurate records (on paper and electronic data) in order to provide excellent results.

Use measurement hand tools and equipment properly and accurately.

Work in teams with others as both a leader and an individual contributor.

Serve as a Mentor for others.

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of blanks and finished parts.

Determine the proper sampling needed to meet customer and industry requirements.

Assist with month calibrations I calibration database.

Program inspection equipment for automated measurements.

Job Qualifications

The following are required:

High School Diploma/GED

At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or quality related role

Detail oriented

Basic mathematical skills with some knowledge of trigonometry

Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions of the business

Work independently with minimal guidance. This includes good time management, planning, organization, and decision-making skills

Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills

Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Correctable 20/30 vision in at least one eye - initial and annual eye exams are required

Adequate color perception as defined by initial eye exam

Ability to move totes weighing up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation

Willingness and ability to work some overtime as required

The following are preferred:

3+ years in a quality assurance or related role

Previous customer facing experience

Knowledge of and experience with geometric tolerancing and blue print reading
