PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a skilled Inspector in Kinston, NC. This role plays a critical part in ensuring aerospace components meet exacting quality standards before they move forward in the manufacturing process.

Role Summary & Impact

As an Inspector, you will perform visual and dimensional inspections on in-process and completed aerospace products, including electronic units, electro-mechanical assemblies, and structural components. Your work helps prevent defects, ensures compliance with specifications, and supports the continuous flow of high-quality aerospace manufacturing.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

Inspect in-process and completed products for defects, workmanship issues, and compliance with specifications

Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers, scales, dial indicators, and fixtures

Work from blueprints, drawings, CATIA models, customer specifications, inspection instructions, and checklists

Accept or reject units and document non-conforming materials in accordance with quality procedures

Perform First Article Inspections and support inspection control activities

Conduct line clearances after each lot to ensure removal of prior materials

Prepare, maintain, and update quality records and inspection documentation

Inspect vendor, subcontractor, and in-house parts and assemblies

Support manufacturing flow by cross-training and assisting in related functions as needed

Follow defined work sequences while maintaining flexibility to support production needs

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Experience with inspection control processes

Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Proficiency using precision measurement tools

Experience performing First Article Inspections

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Qualifications

Experience inspecting electronic, electro-mechanical, or structural aerospace assemblies

Familiarity with CATIA or similar CAD systems

Experience reviewing re-drawings and quality documentation

Background in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments

Pay Details: $44.77 per hour
