**Job Title: Inspection Technician** **Job Description** As an Inspection Technician, you will perform facility inspections and surveys on utility-owned gas meters, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This entry-level position requires professionalism and reliability as you will be entering customers' homes to conduct these inspections. **Responsibilities** + Perform periodic facility inspections and surveys on utility-owned gas meters. + Complete all necessary documentation accurately. + Ensure readings and records comply with company and regulatory standards. + Support the successful completion of regulatory audits and inspections. + Conduct integrity surveys, including direct assessments and close interval surveys. + Perform audit reviews with operations and provide support during audits. **Essential Skills** + Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. + Professional demeanor suitable for entering customers' homes. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and articulate job details. + Basic mechanical ability; experience in cable tech, HVAC, piping, or auto mechanics is advantageous. + Capability to walk, climb stairs, and ladders for 8 hours per day in various weather conditions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Strong organizational, interpersonal, and initiative skills. + Ability to work both independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision. + Intermediate knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and mechanical aptitude. + 1+ year of driving experience. **Why Work Here** Join a program with incredible growth opportunities in the NYC Metro area, supported by a safety initiative that aims to prevent future gas leaks and explosions. Training begins with OSHA orientation and classroom instruction, followed by certification testing and job shadowing. Standard operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm, with potential shifts on Saturday upon supervisor's request. Technicians will report to job sites with a list of addresses and operate independently using equipment provided, including simple tool sets, safety gear, and handheld tablets. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Island City, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
