Team Summary

The AP - Insights & Analytics team sits within the Marketing function of Visa in Asia Pacific (AP) with a vision to be an advisory insight-led engine.  The team delivers consumer and market insights, & measurement analytics-based advisory to internal Visa stakeholders, as well as broader marketing services types, as a Value-Added Service (VAS) to our clients & partners. 

 

What a Insights & Analytics Advisory Lead does at Visa:

This Lead role will be based in Indonesia and will report to the Head of Measurement and Insight, IPVMC (Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia). The successful applicant will operate primarily within the Voice of the Consumer Insights practice area with a focus on expanding the insights based advisory practice as a VAS for Visa’s clients in Indonesia while also providing insights advisory for internal Visa stakeholders.

 

The role is responsible for leading and delivering the research and insights projects and associated revenue, in partnership with our Visa Marketing Services and Visa Consulting & Advisory (VCA) teams. The Consultant, Insights & Analytics will also package and sell our insights and marketing measurement analytics capabilities to clients, as well as the broader marketing services types.  The role will also support insights-based, customer-centric conversations internally to support strategic business decisions.

Translate business needs into research & insights: provide subject matter expertise by converting client business questions into actionable research objectives, leveraging existing assets and devising optimal methodologiesManage research projects & vendor relationships: oversee the end-to-end execution of research and insights projects, including vendor selection, quality assurance, and project management for client marketing and consulting teamsDeliver actionable insights & thought leadership: prospect, scope, and execute insights-driven projects for clients and merchant partnersCollaborate for revenue & campaign success: partner with internal stakeholders to manage revenue pipelines, operating expenses, and ensure best practices in client marketing campaignsThe Insights & Analytics Advisory Lead, Indonesia, will also take on the broader responsibilities of leading other marketing services engagements: drive creative, media, and sponsorship initiatives for Visa’s key clients, ensuring repeat engagements and client satisfaction, in 20%-25% of his/her time, in order to have a broader, more holistic understanding of Visa Marketing Services and how Insights & Analytics interplay with the other services:Collaborate locally, regionally, and globally to bring creative, strategic insights, and innovative solutions to key clientsBuild strong client partnerships: support client growth through holistic marketing services, including strategy, creative, media, sponsorships (like FIFA and Olympics), and tailored activationsDrive results and compliance: manage project delivery, revenue tracking, and administrative tasks, ensuring all marketing activities align with Visa’s standards and branding.

Qualifications

What you will need:
The incumbent should be an expert in consumer market research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative, including experience in analyzing and reporting insights with great story-telling capabilities, with passion and drive on the broader scope of marketing services as well:

Relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution in Marketing, Market Research, Economics or related field required8 – 10 years of experience in a global or multi-national business strongly preferred, including time in consumer research agencies and voice of consumer insights roles, preferably agency experience servicing clientsExperience in analyzing, synthesizing and reporting actionable insights from qualitative & quantitative research, with great story-telling capabilities and verbal & written communication skillsVery strong commercial acumen as well as sales instinctPassionate in also other marketing services types other than research and measurement, such as creative, media and sponsorship, with a willingness to learn and develop as a holistic marketing professionalExperience working in cross functional teams and in managing multiple complex projects simultaneouslyExcellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, ideally from a sales or consulting backgroundMust be organized, proactive, curious and solution oriented looking for ways to contribute added valueActive team player & contributor with strong interpersonal and relationship building skillsProficient in SPSS (or equivalent data mining tool) and MS applications including Excel and Power Point


What will also help:

Postgraduate or MBA degreeMarketing sciences or analytics experience with SEM, cluster analysis, conjoint/discreet choice, regression analysis, etc.Develop, package, and communicate marketing best practices based on marketing performance and brand healthBroad understanding/experience in payment cards & financial services is a plus Proven ability to work in dynamic matrixed organizational environment and operate effectively under ambiguityAble to engage, influence and build credibility with management and key stakeholders


Projects you will be a part of:

Develop and sell VoC Insights and thought leadership as a VAS for clients in partnership with client Marketing and Consulting & Analytics teams, including developing sales materials, sharing sessions, training, developing new capabilities, etc.Advise Visa internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Merchant/Acquiring, Digital Partnerships, Corp Strategy) by generating and reporting insights that support strategic direction and decision making for Visa in IPVMCDevelop and sell other Visa marketing services type which are creatives, media, and global and regional sponsorshipsBuild working relationships with key stakeholders in IPVMC, with the AP Regional Hub & the Global Insights & Analytics teamManagement of research budget and forecasting Insights VAS revenue based on pipeline of client engagements
