Job Title: Sales Support Specialist

Job Description

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. With a focus on HVAC systems, you will engage with customers, support internal teams, and contribute to the design and sales processes.

Responsibilities

Take and enter customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail.Identify customer needs using growing product and system knowledge.Support internal teams and service technicians with parts questions, scheduling clarity, and problem-solving.Navigate internal systems to locate parts, pricing, and order information.Assist with sales orders, quotes, and basic project coordination.Learn to read plans and support HVAC system design using tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, and architectural drawings.Participate in hands-on training in the warehouse to understand parts and components.Spend time on the phone and working on design and bids for various properties during the heating season.Collaborate with manufacturing firms to resolve issues.Write orders for customers and make outbound calls for design conversations.Manage client accounts and approach HVAC season proactively.Provide solutions to customer issues over the phone or escalate as necessary.

Essential Skills

Technical aptitude from roles such as assembler, dispatcher, operations coordinator, automotive work, manufacturing, construction, or logistics.Customer service experience requiring problem-solving and multitasking.Ability to handle curveballs and prioritize issues during busy seasons.Strong initiative and willingness to make outbound calls.Interest in HVAC, hydronics, refrigeration, or mechanical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1–2 years of inside sales experience.Exposure to HVAC, construction, or manufacturing environments.Experience with Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, or architectural drawings.Degree in science, math, engineering, or related coursework.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
