Inside Sales Specialist

Trane in Willowbrook (Chicago) a Sales Office that is part of the Upper Midwest Region is hiring an Inside Sales Specialist.  As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will be supporting our outside sales team within the region. This position includes sales support from the time of inquiry to delivery, which requires equipment identification, quoting, order confirmation/purchase order receipt, pricing, order processing, expediting, and problem solving. This role partners with outside sales reps to increase speed of response and increase sales opportunities. As you become more experienced, you can support the outside sales force with lead generation, market intelligence, and will become a critical piece of our sales team. The most experienced inside sales specialists may be assigned to special projects, which require hands-on supervision of highly complex orders or those that require significant coordination with external entities.

 Where is the work:

 

 From Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires    

 

 What you will do:

·       Responsible for reviewing Plans & Specifications and developing cost estimates, ensuring accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. of Trane materials, sub-contractors, non-Trane purchased equipment, labor (start-up, service work, etc.), and other construction-related activities.

·       Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions for the customer’s problems.

·       Prepares, finalizes, and reviews preliminary and/or final proposal complete. Prepares equipment submittals and validates equipment selection.

·       Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the entire customer’s HVAC system design and installation requirements.

·       Develops, evaluates, and discusses possible solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer.

·       Act as a key contact to customers to provide information on complete sales cycle from quote through delivery.

·       Ensure that all paperwork, purchase orders, rental agreements, reports etc. are maintained to respond to customer inquiries timely and ensure internal process requirements.

·       Mentor peers and share standard methodologies as needed.

 

What you will bring:  

·       Customer service and inside sales experience preferred.

·       Ability to understand the need, solve problems, and respond in an efficient manner.

·       Strong organizational, time management, communication and multi-tasking skills.

·       A strong knowledge and comfort level with computers.

·       HVAC experience preferred but not required.

·       Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred but not required.

·       Light Commercial HVAC would be a plus!

·       Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

·       DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Carless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

 

Compensation:    

Pay Range: $$69,800 - $92,200  

 

Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
