Innovation Manufacturing Process Ngineer

In this role you will act as one of the lead innovation engineers at the plant

The plant has a central plantwide Innovation team, responsible for delivering the annual corporate innovation objectives.

- Support for the plants innovation team would include things like

•\tLeading and/or supporting the weekly meetings

•\tTracking and reporting out our progress on objectives

•\tHelping engineers around the plant connect with corporate innovation subject matter experts, and support some project planning efforts

•\tHelping engineers around the plant correctly add and update projects in our web based innovation project tracking software

•\tAttending Industry benchmarking events, training sessions, and workshops that come up throughout the year. Example: team wentt to the Automate Show together.

•\tCreating / updating plans and documents to help our plant achieve some of the new objectives – action plans, training plans, versatility sheets, etc.

•\tHelp advertise the great stuff going on to internal and external stakeholders – newsletters, social media posts, plant floor innovation kiosk (?), etc.

Skills & Qualifications

Working cross funcionally with multiple teams (Plant Engineering, Launch Engineering, Corporate innovation, Innovation Pillars)

Creating or updating engineering documentation in support of new objectives.

Experience in a manufacturing facility. Preferably a powertrain machining or assembly environment.

Experience surveying existing workstations in the plant for adoption readiness

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $50.00/hr.
