Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up molds, programming robotic spruce pickers, optimizing injection processes, and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will act as a technical resource, perform preventive maintenance, and provide guidance to press operators and assembly personnel.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up case molds and letter molds in injection molded presses.Program robotic spruce pickers to maximize cycle times.Perform process setups on each mold/part and ensure documentation compliance.Use diagnostic tools to optimize injection processes.Act as a technical resource and tooling design specialist.Set up subassembly operations and ensure quality requirements are met.Provide work direction to press operators and assembly personnel.Perform daily and periodic preventive maintenance on tooling and machinery.Inspect and test cases using ASTM methods.Fill hoppers on injection presses with appropriate materials.Record all process parameters at the end of each production run.Operate drill presses, cutters, milling machines, sonic welders, and custom fixtures.Log production units produced during each shift.Visually inspect parts for surface and dimensional defects.Maintain a neat and orderly work area and adhere to safety procedures.Perform similar or related duties as required.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting and problem-solvingInjection molding and machine operationBlueprint readingGeneral production and assembly skillsQualificationsRequired:Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to work in multiple production areasAbility to learn and operate a variety of machinesPreferred:2-Year Certificate in a plastic-related field or equivalent experienceExperience in plastic manufacturing and machine operationsWhy Join Us?$0 Health Insurance Premium for Employee-Only Coverage4% Retirement Match with Profit SharingGenerous Paid Time OffTuition Reimbursement ProgramWeekly PayAccess to a Company-Owned ResortComprehensive Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life InsuranceWork EnvironmentYou will operate various machines such as drill presses, cutters, milling machines, and sonic welders.
