Job CategoryProduction & Skilled TradesPosition SummaryThe Injection Floater will provide various support including set up, operation, minor repairs, mold cleaning and adjustments to automated production machines on the S Line, Unit Line and EX-line to produce golf balls based on daily production needs which meets established quality standards, by performing the following duties.Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains safe, clean, and orderly workplace per 3S standards.Identify and resolve minor mechanical and quality problems.Responsible for performing regular quality checks as per SOP.Have a willingness to work in various injection areas of production.Maintain compliance with all internal and external safety rules and regulations.Operates automated production machinery (including: grinders, injection molding, hot stamp, paint spray, and S-lines). Assist with general minor repairs, and upkeep of production equipment.Adjusts machinery to ensure continuous operation of all processes.Performs visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure all production meets quality standards.Makes necessary set-up on equipment for product or process changes.Submits daily production, quality and equipment reports.Schedules and performs mold/hot sprue changes, set-ups, cleaning, maintenance and repair. Keeps record log on each.Operates forklift.Other duties as assigned by the Production Coordinator/Supervisor to meet the business needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, or G.E.D., and three years related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Requires strong mechanical aptitude

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, heat, and airborne particles and a face mask is required during these duties. The ability to pass a respirator test is mandatory. The noise level in the work environment is normally loud. Steel/Composite toed shoes, eye and ear protection is company provided (within reason) and always worn in this area. The indoor temperature is not a controlled climate environment and can be seasonably hot or cold depending on the weather temperatures outside.
