Job Summary
The Infrastructure Operations Lead is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure and operations Life Insurance Business in APAC. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure while supporting business growth and continuity.
 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & LeadershipDefine and execute infrastructure operations strategy aligned with business objectivesLead and mentor infrastructure, network, cloud, and operations teamsManage budgets, vendor contracts, and cost optimization initiativesDrive continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellenceInfrastructure & OperationsOversee data centers, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), networks, servers, storage, and end-user computingEnsure high availability, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning (BCP)Manage capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system scalabilityOversee IT service management (ITSM) processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)Security & ComplianceEnsure infrastructure security, patching, vulnerability management, and access controlsSupport compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or local regulationsPartner with Information Security teams to mitigate risks and respond to incidentsVendor & Stakeholder ManagementManage third-party vendors, MSPs, and cloud service providersCollaborate with application, security, and business teamsAct as escalation point for critical infrastructure incidentsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skillsDeep understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud platformsExpertise in ITIL / ITSM frameworksStrong problem-solving and crisis management abilitiesBudgeting, vendor negotiation, and cost managementExcellent communication and stakeholder managementTechnical Skills (Typical)Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCPVirtualization & containers: VMware, Kubernetes, DockerNetworking & security: Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, load balancersMonitoring & automation: Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, TerraformOperating systems: Linux, Windows ServerQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fieldMaster’s degree or MBA (preferred)ITIL, AWS/Azure certifications (preferred)Experience12–18+ years in IT infrastructure and operations5+ years in a senior leadership or head-of-function role
