Position Summary

IT Internal Audit Senior Consultant

Work you will do 

Demonstrate understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, and related regulatory and compliance standards – both generally, and specifically the technology-driven elements Perform internal audit assurance activities (internal audits over financial, operational, compliance, IT, SOX, SOC reporting, etc.), propose suggestions for process automation and other technology-oriented solutions, help to anticipate emerging risks for our clientsSupervise and review documentation for control testing activities, including for general IT controls, automated controls, reports, and interfacesUse problem solving and critical thinking skills to quickly identify internal control deficiencies, evaluate their risk implications, and draw the appropriate conclusions to best advise our clientsApply a general knowledge of the technologies used to build complex IT environmentsFacilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design, and implement products and servicesSupport client engagements by helping plan the audit approach and scope, preparing the audit program, determining auditing procedures, seeing the audit process through completion, and applying internal audit standards in accordance with the Institute of Internal AuditorsActively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisionsBuild and nurture positive working relationships with clients, by providing high quality deliverables and communicationsCreate internal control documentation for the engagement including narratives, process and data flows, and other supporting work papers.Play a substantive role with project management by supporting engagement planning, economics, billing and staffing; providing regular status reports for the client, while supervising junior staffExercise professional skepticism and judgment and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree (in Accounting, Business Administration,Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems or related field)4+ years of relevant work experienceAbility to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveYou should reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if requiredYou can expect to co-locate on average 3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locationsLimited Sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

Certification as CPA, CIA, CISA and/or PMP preferred Big 4 or consulting firm experienceExperience working in an ambiguous environmentExperience working in highly automated cloud / platform environmentsAbility to state complex issues simplyStrong communication skills, both written and verbal

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,675 to $157,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to 105the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
