Job Description:\n\nThe ISSE will lead the implementation of the FBI's Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) program, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the RMF lifecycle.\n \nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and mentor a team of security professionals responsible for RMF implementation.\nOversee system categorization, security control selection, and implementation based on FBI risk management strategies.\nConduct security control assessments to validate the effectiveness of implemented safeguards.\nPrepare risk management documentation for system authorization and executive decision-making.\nProvide technical guidance on cybersecurity, incident response, and audit support efforts.\nTrack and report on security engineering activities, ensuring compliance with FBI and federal standards.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of RMF, NIST guidance, and industry best practices.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience. \nSubject matter expertise in cybersecurity engineering, RMF, and NIST SP 800-53.\nExperience in system categorization, security control implementation, and continuous monitoring.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to obtain and maintain SCI access.\n\nEstimated Locations:\n\nNCR (J. Edgar Hoover Building): Primary location for enterprise systems support.\nHSV (FBI Campus): Support for systems at the FBI Campus.\nCJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems): Limited presence for CJIS systems.\n\n\n
