About This Role:

Textron Systems is seeking those of all disciplines to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. It’s expertly designed to defeat threats beyond line of sight and comes complete with cutting-edge technologies that will keep adversaries up at night. Cottonmouth was developed using a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) that is Ground Vehicle Operating System (GVOS) based employing the Tactical Assault Kit Extended (TAK-X) framework for easy capability integration. This modern vehicle platform has superior mobility capabilities to tackle treacherous off-road terrain and waterways while keeping Marines safe thanks to its advanced survivability suite and Human System Interface (HSI) focus. Amphibious mobility, unrivaled versatility, and electronic warfare capabilities define a vehicle that is adaptable, stealthy and thrives wherever enemies hide. Our teams are engaged in multiple cutting-edge development programs for defense applications.

This role will be based out of our Hunt Valley office location:
•Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle to the customer’s satisfaction. Installs, upgrades, and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field changes.
•Performs quality installation, operation, and maintenance to the customer’s satisfaction on electronic equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and various software operating systems.
•Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
•Troubleshoots and diagnoses system malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
•Accurately interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, coupled with the ability to evaluate, isolate, and repair system malfunctions.
•Provides on-the-job training (OJT) as necessary.
•Acts as a customer liaison and must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
•Performs general logistics and functions and reporting.
•Practices ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
•Performs general housekeeping in work area as needed.
•Performs, tracks and monitors parts procurement and inventory status.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•Familiarity with multiple software principles, including but not limited to Virtual Machines, Operating Systems (OS) including Windows and Linux, and an understanding of how to install, remove, and troubleshoot software.
•Familiarity with networking protocols to include TCP/IP, Telnet, SSH and SNAP.
•Well versed and comfortable with customer expectations, policies, and business practices with a focus on high customer satisfaction.
•Ability to attend and pass a 5 week OJT training course
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task.
•Ability to travel to various work sites within the U.S. and overseas when required to support program needs.
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
•Must be able to pass a standard deployment physical and be willing and able to deploy overseas for periods of no less than 90 days when the program requires. May be working in a combat environment in hostile areas and living under arduous conditions.
•Ability to work up to an 84-hour work week (7 days per week, 12 hours per day), while deployed.



Preferred Qualifications

•Familiarity with military logistics systems, to include COLTS and UAS-I.
•Familiarity with customer and corporate expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation.
•Familiarity with military radios and communications protocols.
•Working knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
•Comfortable with firewall configurations, CISCO network switches, RAIDs, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and integrated system administrative functions.
•An understanding of the operation and configuration of blade server arrays.
•Prior military experience, including deployments is a desired plus.
•Prior Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) maintenance experience a desired plus.
•Prior aviation maintenance and flight line support a plus.
•2-year degree in electronics, information technology and / or military trade school graduate a plus.

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. This position is subject to noise. Employees may be required to participate in the Hearing Conservation Program, which will require regular testing and wearing of hearing protection equipment where necessary. This position is subject to a variety of physical and atmospheric conditions. This position will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position is subject to oils. This position is subject to working conditions peculiar to the assignment. (e.g., required to perform work-related travel worldwide and may include accompanying DOD forces into hardship and combat areas with little notice for extended periods of time). This position will involve exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds of force constantly. Visual requirement is the minimum standard for those whose work deals largely with visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and computer terminals; extensive reading and research; and using measuring devices.
