Information Security Specialist, AI

Are you eager to work with securing AI systems and help secure the next generation of digital solutions? Join Novo Nordisk as an Information Security Specialist, AI — a technical, growth-oriented role where you'll work closely with solution managers, engineers and IT owners to apply security controls, analyse operational data, and turn insights into practical protection guidance.

Your new role

As an Information Security Specialist, AI, you will support the secure design and implementation of AI systems by working closely with IT owners and project teams. This role emphasises technical security activities - application security reviews and translating security guidance into concrete controls for AI systems and data pipelines. You will work with a data-driven approach to identify risks and generate actionable insights, gaining practical experience in cloud and AI security while being mentored by senior security advisors and risk professionals.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

Providing application and cloud security guidance for AI projects, focusing on configurations, dependencies, and critical data flows. Supporting basic threat modelling and component‑level risk assessments to decompose AI and complex IT architectures and highlight actionable technical mitigations. Translating security guidance into practical controls, checklists, and runbooks that IT solution owners and architects can adopt. Analysing operational security data to identify trends, generate insights and support continuous improvements. Guiding and advising IT owners, architects and practitioners is an essential part of the work to delegate, scale and drive simplicity through the projects and activities. Staying up to date with and building the security foundation for new and emerging technologies.

Your Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science or related field. 1–3 years’ practical experience in IT or information/application security, ideally with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and data projects. Familiarity with, or strong interest in, AI/ML technologies and their security considerations (e.g. machine learning, large language models, generative AI tools, cloud AI services) Strong communicative skills and a pragmatic, data-driven mindset with eagerness to learn and collaborate in a global team.

Experience with modern software engineering practices and application security as well as understanding of modern architectures is a plus. Also, you are technically curious and detail-oriented and comfortable working close to IT owners and solution architects. You translate technical findings into clear, actionable steps, ask the right questions, and work proactively to turn observations into improvements.

Your new department

You will join the Enterprise Information Technology & Quality (EITQ) Information Security team, a central advisory function that enables secure, compliant and resilient IT across Novo Nordisk. The team partners closely with cloud, data, AI, application and business stakeholders to embed security by design into digital initiatives and to translate regulatory and risk requirements into practical controls.
