Job Description The Informatica SME serves as the primary authority on the legacy Informatica landscape and is responsible for deconstructing existing workflows, sessions, mappings, and maplets to enable accurate migration into dbt. This role ensures legacy logic is correctly understood, documented, and classified by complexity, supporting wave planning and re-estimation checkpoints. The Informatica SME works closely with dbt SMEs and Data Engineers to translate PowerCenter constructs into modern SQL-based transformation patterns while mitigating risks associated with undocumented or highly complex workflows across both SWP and IMS business units. Key Responsibilities • Analyze existing Informatica workflows, sessions, mappings, and maplets • Reverse-engineer transformation logic, dependencies, parameters, and scheduling patterns • Identify hidden complexity (lookups, aggregators, routers, update strategies) • Classify workflows by complexity to support wave sequencing and re-estimation checkpoints • Partner with dbt SMEs to translate Informatica logic into dbt-appropriate patterns • Support defect resolution during testing and UAT We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • 8+ years Informatica PowerCenter / IICS experience • Deep understanding of mappings vs sessions vs workflows • Experience with large-scale ETL modernization or migrations • Strong SQL (Oracle / SQL Server) • Ability to interpret undocumented legacy logic
