Key ResponsibilitiesDevises data conversion strategy for a system focused on delivering an advanced analytical capability to the client. Positional duties include the creation of new Informatica scripts, the transition of PL/SQL ETLs to new Informatica scripts, or the modification of existing scripts.Developing Informatica Mappings and writing complex Oracle PL/SQL programs for the Data WarehouseAnalysis of transaction errors, troubleshooting issues in the software, developing bug-fixes, and providing performance tuning efforts Essential Job FunctionsSetup the Informatica environment in the DEV, TST, and PRD landscapesSetup a development environment to develop and version maps, etc.Create a common framework for error and exception handling, status reporting, and restartDevelop scheduling streams to schedule the maps, verify dependencies, and report job statusConfigure Informatica Data Director (IDD) per MDM project requirementsDevelop Informatica IDQ servicesIntegrate Informatica MDM and IDQDevelop ETL between systems, as required (e.g. Develop the maps for moving data from SAP R3 to the corresponding tables in Oracle)Implement data conversions, including mappings between systemsCreate a common framework for error and exception handling, status reporting, and restart Required Experience:2+ years of strong implementation experience with Informatica MDM, Informatica IDQ, and Informatica ETLExperience with PL/SQL, and SAP BAPI, and ABAPExperience with Informatica on SAP R3 and Oracle systemsExperience with the establishment of operational framework for Informatica-based tasks,Informatica Powercenter, IDQ, and MDM development experience.Extensive experience in development, maintenance, and enhancement of Informatica Mappings, Work-flows, and processesProject experience with developing complex SQL query and dimensional data modelExperience with developing and deploying Informatica in Unix and Oracle 11g database environmentExperience with MS SQL ServerExperience with creating complex Informatica ETL mappings and workflowsExperience coding complex SQL queries CertificationRequired Skills/AbilitiesGood verbal and written communication and presentation skillsGood knowledge of Oracle 11G PL/SQLAbility to accomplish detail-oriented workAbility to work under pressure in a demanding environmentIngenuous, resourceful, and flexible approach to deal with issuesAbility to prioritize workload and balance conflicting demandsDetermined team-work orientation, as well as a balanced responsiveness to client needs and requirementsAbility to implement restart, recovery, and status reportingAbility to train in-house resourcesAbility to analyze and retrieve metadata from Informatica repositoryAbility to architect an ETL solution and data conversion strategyStrong communication skills to work with clients, business users, and team membersAbility to work independently once guidance and goals are providedAbility to work well in a teamDesired Skills/Abilities (not required but a plus)Informatica ETL tool and a firm understanding of relational database theory.Education
