Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

The Industrial Painter/Powder Coater will be responsible for prepping, setting up, and coating racks of metal products in the manufacturing facility. This role involves reading job orders, prepping, racking, and masking parts for painting or powder coating. Additionally, the position requires preparing and mixing paint or powder specific to each job and color, as well as setting up paint and powder coating machinery according to job specifications.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret job orders for painting and powder coating tasks.Prep, rack, and mask parts for painting or powder coating.Mix paint or powder specific to each job and color.Set up paint and powder coating machinery per job specifications.Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) to coat materials in paint and powder coating booths.

Essential Skills

3+ years of industrial coating experience, including spray painting with HVLP or powder coating.Proficiency in paint prep and machinery setup for paint and powder coat processes.Experience with booth and racked parts painting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Combination of powder coating experience and wet paint is ideal.Understanding of safety protocols, especially in facilities with tanks filled with liquid for plating and general manufacturing equipment.

Work Environment

The facility is in York, PA and is not climate controlled. Openings are available on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2p-10p) and 3rd shift (Sun-Thur, 10p-6a), with training on the day shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm) for approximately four weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
