Industrial Painter
**Job Title: Painter** **Job Description** We are seeking a painter to join our industrial motor building shop. The primary responsibility will involve spraying motors, valves, drums, and other mechanical components with paint in the booth. You will primarily use a handheld spray gun, as well as rattle can paint, epoxy, and primers. The position offers flexible day shift scheduling, with start times at 5am, 6am, or 7am, Monday through Friday. **Responsibilities** + Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming. + Apply paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. + Follow safety protocols and regulations related to hazardous materials. + Inspect completed work to ensure quality and durability. + Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment. + Complete forklift certification training to move large, heavy pieces. + Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and supplies. + Prepare parts for shipment, packaging them with foam, crates, and wrapping for safe transport. + Assist shipping lead with shipping labels and documentation. + Move pieces with forklift once certified and assist with other areas as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Previous painting experience, ideally with a spray gun. + Strong attention to detail, especially in identifying paint issues. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Ability to remain focused and ask for help when needed. + Flexibility to assist in various shop tasks, such as kitting, packaging, assembly, and moving parts via forklift. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in an industrial painting environment. + Quality inspection skills. + Experience with packaging parts for shipment. + Experience in parts prepping and shop cleaning. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned shop situated in a great area, offering a calm and quiet environment with a small team.
