Job Title: Industrial Painter

Responsibilities

Prepare and set up blast pot and nozzle equipment for surface treatment.Perform sandblasting to remove rust, old coatings, or other surface contaminants.Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion before applying paint.Operate and maintain technical equipment, ensuring all tools remain in safe working condition.Handle and dispose of chemical waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Adhere to all workplace safety standards and apply specialized safety techniques based on surface requirements.Use thickness gauges to accurately measure paint application.Remove existing paint layers using masking techniques or chemical rinses.Apply paint to small items, perform detailed touch-ups, and ensure a high-quality finish.Maintain proper ventilation during and after paint application to ensure a safe work environment.Follow technical documentation to correctly mix, apply, and finish paints according to specifications.

Shift

1st shift (6am-2:30pm)

Pay Rate

$18-$20/hr (depending on experience)

Essential Skills

1 year or more of industrial painting experience.Proficiency in painting techniques including spray gun and paint booth operations.Experience in sandblasting and blasting techniques.Knowledge of powder coating processes is a plus. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grass Lake, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
