We are seeking a skilled industrial painter to apply paint and finishes to pumps, products, and skids using a spray gun. The role involves sanding and taping, preparing and applying metal spray coatings, and handling and transporting components to and from the coating area. Additionally, the painter will inspect and maintain thermal spray equipment, ensuring cleaning, adjusting settings, and replacing worn parts. Inspecting coated parts for defects is also a vital aspect of this position.
ResponsibilitiesApply paint and finishes to pumps, products, and skids using a spray gun.Sand and tape surfaces in preparation for coating.Prepare and apply metal spray coatings.Handle and transport components to and from the coating area.Inspect and maintain thermal spray equipment, including cleaning nozzles, adjusting settings, and replacing worn parts.Inspect coated parts for defects.Essential Skills1-2+ years of industrial or auto body painting experience, preferably in manufacturing.Proficiency in using spray guns and basic hand tools.Expertise in coating systems, including HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) and Plasma processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience painting in a manufacturing environment preferred.Previous experience in thermal spray coating operations preferred.Familiarity with HVAF, HVOF, and plasma spray equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Foundational understanding of coating techniques, masking procedures, and the ability to measure coating thickness.Why Work Here?
