Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

Join our team as a Facilities & Equipment Painter where you will be responsible for the layout of work, setting up equipment for surface preparation, and determining the best paint and application method to achieve optimal finishes according to design specifications and published schedules. This role involves work surface preparation, paint removal, and the selection of appropriate fillers to address imperfections. Efficiency in resource utilization is key to minimizing waste and optimizing labor. Experience in forced air painting or using a spray gun in an industrial or auto body shop setting is preferred.

ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-mixed paint selection and preparation by mixing pigments, oil, thinner, and drying substances to achieve consistency and viscosity for the application.Demonstrate aptitude for working at heights required for painting walls, ceilings, large vessels, or other furnace components.Select, set up, adjust, and operate equipment to meet specifications, utilizing facility spray equipment to maximize coverage and durability.Plan the painting sequence and equipment necessary to complete the job effectively.Strictly adhere to company I.S.O. and safety guidelines and procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and proper ventilation.Maintain accurate daily labor reports and supply own hand tools as per published list.Understand and operate overhead cranes, fork trucks, hand trucks, and other equipment to move materials or products safely.Perform simple upkeep and cleaning of equipment, maintaining housekeeping standards in compliance with established policies.Work collaboratively with supervision and leadmen to accomplish tasks and assist others when needed.Essential SkillsExperience in forced air painting or automotive painting with spray guns.Aptitude for paint mixing and preparation.Ability to efficiently utilize resources and minimize scrap.Understanding of safety protocols and procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsTrainable attitude and pride in work.Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Familiarity with paint prep and spray booth operations.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.15 - $27.15/hr.
