Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter who will be responsible for painting various products, including railings, steps, and steel forms. The role involves preparing metal for painting, using correct paint equipment settings, performing daily maintenance, and conducting quality checks. The use of a respirator is required. The role requires handling 'construction talk' and high-performance metrics.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare metal surfaces for painting.Use correct paint equipment settings and adjustments.Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment.Mask areas that are not to be painted.Inspect paint jobs in progress for quality issues.Organize and maintain the paint trailer.Conduct quality checks and assist with general shop duties.Assist with material handling.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of industrial painting experience.Proficiency in using a sprayer and working in a paint booth.Ability to use hand and/or power tools and equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with powder coating.Attention to detail and teamwork.Capability to work in a high-performance environment.Physical ability to walk, stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl, and climb ladders.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position outside of Carlisle, Iowa, within a large concrete building that is not temperature controlled. The first shift begins at 6 am and ends when tasks are complete, varying from 8 to 10 hours. The paint team consists of 5-7 employees. Dress code includes steel-toed boots and jeans. Safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and other PPE are provided. Fans, a break room with AC, and heaters in winter are available.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
