Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Description

As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for both sandblasting and painting duties, ensuring all surfaces are expertly prepared and coated according to project specifications. Your role will involve maintaining a safe and clean work environment, working with various equipment, and collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality results.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop a daily work plan, prioritizing tasks and organizing resources for sandblasting.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the blast bay and booth.Conduct daily cleaning of the blast booth to ensure compliance with Air Quality Department standards.Perform regular inspections and maintenance on sandblasting equipment.Accurately track piece counts and time spent on each sandblasting job for project management purposes.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.Use a wet film thickness gauge for all coating applications.Inspect and prepare surfaces by removing old paint, dirt, and repairing imperfections.Apply primer, paint, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.Monitor drying times and apply additional coats as needed.Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.Dispose of waste materials according to regulations.Stay updated on industry trends and participate in training sessions.Essential Skills3+ years of painting experience.3+ years of sandblasting experience.Knowledge of surface preparation and confined space protocols.Experience with industrial tanks and SSPC surface preparation standards.Proficiency in using spray guns, trowels, and plural spray systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with cementitious waterproofing coatings.Familiarity with Sauereisen and Tnemec products.Ability to identify and achieve SP-1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15 standards.Ability to troubleshoot and repair field equipment.Knowledge of airless spray tip numbers and coating defect correction.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The role involves work at multiple sites, including waste water treatment plants and reclamation facilities. You will operate in confined spaces and at heights, using tools such as wrenches, hammers, and pliers. Safety equipment like safety glasses, gloves, and respirators will be provided, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
