Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing equipment, both mechanical and electrical. You will also be responsible for breaking down machinery for cleaning and starting up the machinery. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.

ResponsibilitiesConduct preventive maintenance on food processing equipment.Perform mechanical and electrical repairs.Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on machinery.Break down machinery for cleaning and facilitate the startup process.Work extensively with pneumatics, power transmission, pulleys, chains, sprockets, drives, motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and gears.Maintain basic PLC knowledge and apply it effectively.Ensure adherence to GMP standards in a refrigerated environment.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years' experience in food manufacturing maintenance or 7+ years in manufacturing machine maintenance.Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting on 24-480V systems.Ability to trace and resolve electrical issues with specific examples.Experience or familiarity with control voltage (24V and up to 480V 3 phase).Mechanical expertise in pneumatics and power transmission systems.Capability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues using appropriate tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field of study is a plus.Food/GMP experience is highly desirable.Basic welding and fabricating skills.Good job tenure with no history of frequent job changes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility is a food manufacturing plant with a refrigerated environment requiring adherence to GMP standards. Positions are available across three shifts: 1st shift (5am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am), and 3rd shift (10pm-7:30am), with training conducted on the 1st shift for 1-2 weeks. The workweek currently consists of 5-6 days, with shifts lasting 10-12 hours. Both basic and specialty tools are provided, with the option for candidates to bring their own basic tools.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64400.00/yr.
