**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
Utilize a variety of tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines operate smoothly, building systems function efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings remains intact. Inspect and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine corrective measures, referencing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed. Install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
+ Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
+ Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work done.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting
+ Maintenance technician experience
+ Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems
+ Preventive maintenance expertise
+ Industrial maintenance proficiency
+ Mechanical repair skills
+ Familiarity with GMP standards
+ Experience with PLC control and troubleshooting
+ Ability to read schematics
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred, plus three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Strong, related experience in a food production environment required
+ General mechanical skills preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
+ Good interpersonal skills
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

**Work Environment**
This role operates on the first shift from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. You will work both outside a plant facility and inside a manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to changing temperatures, moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. The noise level can be loud, and vibration levels are moderate. Expect occasional exposure to food-related scents, reflective of the production environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $66560.00/yr.
You will earn 2 weeks of vacation time and one week of sick time in your first year.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Ankeny,IA.
