Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a team working in both the machining and forging departments of a global leader in the production and machining of forged steel and aluminum for the automotive industry. You will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities.

ResponsibilitiesWork on CNC machines, combustion heaters, press lines, and forging machines.Perform reactive maintenance and train on the 1st shift for the initial 4-8 weeks.Carry out maintenance work on heavy machinery, including forging presses and cutting machines.Execute all types of maintenance-related activities, including mechanical, electrical, and programming tasks.Conduct retrofitting activities, work on new machines, and perform overhauls as per company guidelines.Implement approved machine improvements assigned by the supervisor.Conduct periodic examinations of assigned machines based on standard task lists and report any abnormal findings.Escalate safety-related issues to the supervisor and department manager promptly.Assist the supervisor in root cause analysis of problems.Support production during startup activities after maintenance completion.Document machine breakdowns in the system (SAP) immediately after the activity.Follow and implement 5S rules in designated areas.Use company systems (SAP, MPDV) for documentation and analysis.Essential SkillsExperience in maintenance, electrical, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.Ability to work with mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with heavy machinery and equipment used in forging and machining.Why Work Here

Work Environment

Candidates will work in both the machining and forging departments. The machining shop is climate-controlled, while the forging area may be hot and dirty. Flexible shifts are available, with some overtime required (45-55 hours per week).

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
