**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment support within a dynamic environment. This role offers flexibility with hours and a competitive salary based on experience.
**Location** : Mundelein, IL
**Pay** : Based off skills/experience roughly $70,000-90,000/yr
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for managing maintenance operations, of a small maintenance team within a industrial production setting.
+ Ensure efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by overseeing and completing repairs and performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
+ Provide leadership, direction, training, and growth opportunities for maintenance staff; monitor repair and maintenance activity with emphasis on timeliness, effectiveness, and quality.
+ Deliver continuous improvement leadership; identify, recommend, and implement areas for Lean improvement/modification.
+ Participate in budget preparation, organize purchasing and documentation, and control department expenditure; consistently apply resources to cost reduction/cost control.
+ Initiate purchase orders for materials and supplies such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts to maintain adequate inventory levels.
+ Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate outside contractor bids and work performance as needed.
+ Perform experimental functions to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials.
+ Maintain and compile accurate repair and maintenance logs and work order reports.
+ Work safely, abide by, and promote established safety policies and procedures; identify and follow up on unsafe conditions.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum 3-5 years progressive leadership experience in manufacturing environment with focus on equipment reliability and maintenance leadership.
+ Thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical maintenance procedures, machine design, and tools and ability to perform complex maintenance.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with leadership, team members, and external partners.
+ Experience with manufacturing safety and quality systems and performance reporting tools; lean manufacturing and ISO/BRC a plus.
