International Motors is hiring Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for our Springfield Assembly Plant. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment, including robotic welders, conveyors, and transfer systems, to keep production running safely and efficiently. This is a represented skilled-trades position with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and a generous 401(k).*Sign-On Bonus: We are offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus (less applicable taxes) for newly hired skilled trades positions*
This position will pay $36.42 / hour with a 6% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Must be available for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and equipmentRemove and replace worn or defective parts; rebuild spindles, cylinders, valves, pumps, and gearboxesStart up and test equipment after repair to verify safe, effective operationDiagnostics and Technical Support
Use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances and alignmentRead and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to diagnose issuesInspect and measure parts to identify wear, misalignment, and other defectsFabrication and Shop Work
Operate machine-shop equipment to fabricate and repair componentsPerform basic machining and welding work as neededSafety, Compliance, and Documentation
Follow plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirementsDocument all maintenance and repair activities for reporting and traceabilitySupport a clean, organized, and safe work environment Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GEDJourneyman Machine Repairman or minimum 8 years in trade Additional Requirements Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to work at heights, climb ladders and use aerial lift equipmentMust be able to work outdoors during cold and inclement weatherUS Citizenship or Permanent Resident status requiredQualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
