Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, ensuring consistent operations of converting equipment and lines. Duties include performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions to ensure optimal machinery performance.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on industrial equipment such as conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, and cappers.Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.Implement technical solutions and perform necessary repairs.Utilize precision measuring equipment like micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters effectively.Essential Skills
Minimum of 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and three-phase motors.Proficiency in maintenance, mechanical repair, and preventive maintenance.Ability to perform changeovers, setups, and work with fillers, pumps, and valves.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Experience in a GMP or food manufacturing environment is a plus.Computer proficiency in MS Office.Preferred 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment or 5 years in an FDA facility.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers, running around the clock five days a week. As a liquid filling facility, it offers a unique environment where candidates from food and beverage industries may find their skills particularly relevant due to the FDA regulation. Be prepared for strong odors depending on the department, ranging from mouthwash to lotion and alcohol.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
