Maintenance Electrician – 2nd Shift

Location: South Milwaukee, WI

Shift: 2nd Shift (Full-Time)

Bonus: $2,000 Sign-On Bonus

Pay Progression:

• Step 1: $39.53/hr

• Step 2: $40.75/hr

• Step 3: $41.96/hr

• Shift Premium: +$1.00/hr for 2nd shift

Overview:

Caterpillar is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to support our manufacturing operations in South Milwaukee, WI.

At our South Milwaukee facility, you’ll be part of a team that builds some of the largest and most powerful mining machines in the world. This facility specializes in the production of Cat® Electric Rope Shovels (ERS) used in mining operations around the world.

Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, and relay logic systemsMaintain and repair machine tools and equipment from manufacturers including Ingersoll, DMG Mori, Liebherr, G&L, Pietro Carnaghi, and PamaWork with encoder systems including Heidenhain and InductosynSupport electrical maintenance on cranes, hoists, conveyors, furnaces, welding equipment (Miller and Lincoln), paint booths, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systemsPerform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliabilityRead and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and machine tool prints

Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance of industrial machinery or successful completion of a field-related technical programExperience with CNC and PLC systems including Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen BradleyStrong troubleshooting skills with relay logic and programmable controllersHands-on experience with AC/DC analog and digital drivesBasic mechanical aptitudePossess one of the following:Wisconsin Electrician LicenseState-indentured Journeyman Electrician or Electronic TechnicianAssociate Degree in electrical or electronicsUnion Journeyman CardEquivalent military experience

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systemsExperience with welding equipment and industrial automationAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentWillingness to work overtime to support production needsFamiliarity with safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures

Summary Pay Range:

$29.29 - $40.35
