**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician with a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years' experience as an electrician in an industrial setting. A Journeyman Electrician license is **preferred not required** , and experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley and Modicon) is essential. The role requires an in-depth understanding of 3 phase electrical systems and troubleshooting procedures up to 460VAC, along with strong knowledge of motor controls, DC drive systems, and PLC controls.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct electrical maintenance tasks in an industrial environment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair 3 phase electrical systems up to 460VAC.
+ Operate and maintain PLC systems including Allen Bradley and Modicon.
+ Handle motor controls and DC drive systems efficiently.
+ Operate overhead cranes, man lifts, and fork trucks safely.
+ Collaborate effectively with a small team of maintenance technicians and a supervisor.
+ Adhere to all company policies, including attendance and safety protocols.
+ Work independently and demonstrate self-motivation and self-direction.
+ Lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 3+ years' experience as an electrician in an industrial environment.
+ In-depth understanding of 3 phase electrical systems and troubleshooting procedures up to 460VAC.
+ Strong knowledge of motor controls, DC drive systems, and PLC controls.
+ Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
+ Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
+ Previous experience working with PLCs (Allen Bradley and Modicon).
+ Experience operating overhead cranes, man lifts, and fork trucks.
+ Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.
+ Flexible with working overtime as needed.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing and warehouse setting with a small team of maintenance technicians and a supervisor. Opportunities are available for both 1st shift (6am - 4:30pm) and 2nd shift (4:30pm - 3am). The dress code includes jeans or work pants and steel-toe boots. Engage in hands-on tasks in a facility that manufactures sheet metal for shipment to the Ford plant in North KC.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
