Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator at a facility specializing in producing cement mixes, gravel, and sandbags. Your role will involve operating machinery that fills bags of cement mix, setting up machines based on product requirements, and ensuring the smooth operation of the equipment.
ResponsibilitiesRead job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.Observe dryer operation and perform adjustments to maintain set parameters.Fill material bins as needed to meet daily production schedules.Receive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriers.Operate a front-end loader to fill bulk material silos.Perform routine machine maintenance.Start up machinery for daily production.Ensure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areas.Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.Essential SkillsMachine operationMaintenance technician skillsMechanical aptitudeForklift operationAbility to use hand and power toolsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED with basic mathematics skillsA minimum of 1 year as a Production Worker in a related position or industryForklift certification preferredAbility to work in a manufacturing facility with exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, forklifts, and noiseAbility to climb stairs and ladders occasionallyFrequent lifting and gathering of bags weighing up to 100 lbs.Constant good manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and staminaWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a small, dusty shop with a team of 5 people in production. The environment features conveyor systems, a dryer/tumbler, tall silos for storing materials, bagging machines, and stacking/palletizing machines. The job requires wearing a full-face respirator for protection and involves a swing shift from 10 am to 8:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with training beginning at 8 am.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
