Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to install and repair refractory linings, such as bricks, alumina, and boards, in industrial furnaces. This role involves performing basic PLC functions, including opening software, reading ladder logic, and providing reactive maintenance and remote support. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to effectively solve problems and manage multiple projects.
ResponsibilitiesInstall and repair refractory linings in industrial furnaces.Perform basic PLC functions such as reading ladder logic.Provide reactive maintenance and remote support via phone and email.Test new furnaces for operational readiness.Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues with precision.Coordinate and manage multiple projects efficiently.Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Essential SkillsExperience in PLC maintenance and mechanical repairs.Proficiency in installing and repairing refractory linings.Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.Effective coordination and project management skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred 2-year technical degree or equivalent technical military training.Knowledge of electrical wiring fundamentals.Ability to read electrical ladder diagrams and schematics.Experience with RS Logix or other PLC software is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Minimum of 2 years of field service experience in mechanical, machinery, or electrical repair.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position requires up to 50% travel, including international trips that may total five to ten weeks per year. The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to varying conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
