This position will be responsible for defining and testing the material properties of analysis requested to Materials Laboratory. Job responsibilities include testing, collecting and recording data, taking measurements, analyzing data, sample preparation, assisting in trials, and maintaining laboratory supplies and lab safety. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record working in a lab testing and troubleshooting material, product, and/or process failures while executing test plans.
What You Will Do
Defining, testing, and troubleshooting material and process-related properties Complete test requests using the available laboratory test equipment, additional company labs, or outside labs when test equipment is not available.Identify and analyze material cost saving opportunities in current or pending products.Participate in component problem analysis and resolutionTechnical writing of work instructions and test reportsWork with other Materials Laboratory staff to ensure that the laboratory equipment is kept in good working order and calibratedKeep the Materials laboratory organized and maintain good cleanliness.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisorParticipates and provides support related with quality and EHSS systems management, objectives, targets and programs.What You Need to Be Successful
