Industrial Engineer
Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for managing material flow design and optimizing the movement of the production line. The role involves utilizing lean, six sigma, and kanban tools to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and improve cycle times. Working within an automated machinery environment, the Industrial Engineer will engage with OEMs, robots, PLCs, conveyor systems, and material movement.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and optimize material flow and processes.Conduct time studies to model material movement.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).Identify and implement improvement projects and conduct root cause analysis for production and maintenance issues.Collaborate with the operations team on program deliverables.Essential SkillsProficiency in continuous improvement methodologies, industrial engineering, and time studies.Expertise in lean six sigma principles.Ability to analyze material flow, identify bottlenecks, and conduct root cause analysis.Experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, and lean manufacturing.Skilled in line balancing and work instruction creation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with robotics and controls systems, including Control Logix PLCs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD software.Strong oral and written communication skills with professionalism under pressure.Ability to collaborate effectively with external machine builders and system integrators.Demonstrated technical project management experience.Strong logical and methodical reasoning capabilities.Solid understanding of safety systems design.Ability to manage multiple issues effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Work Environment

The role involves working with automated equipment for the manufacturing of solar panels. The position follows a Continental work schedule across four shifts, two day and two night, from 6:30 to 6:30.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
