We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our launch team. This role involves supporting our team with industrial engineering tasks and requires experience with Time Studies and Ergonomics from either academic or job experience.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques.Provide information for various management systems.Record and analyze information on specific problems assigned in the utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities.Collaborate effectively with various engineering disciplines, floor and shop personnel, and outside suppliers.Communicate ideas effectively to union members.Confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and/or material control.Ensure the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives.Support the plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost goals.Support and implement QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.1-2+ years of industrial engineering work experience.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with time studies and ergonomics.Ability to work independently once trained.Good foot in the door opportunity as the IE group uses the contractor work pool to hire permanent IEs when headcount allows.Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced automotive plant where over 800 cars are produced daily. The position is office-based but requires 60-70% presence on the plant floor. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday work or second shift due to project needs. The team comprises 8-10 other Industrial Engineers, with work involving both independent and team settings. Business casual attire is required, typically a polo and jeans or khakis.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $48.07/hr.
