Our direct client is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team. As an experienced Industrial Engineer, you will lead the relocation of a production line and oversee all required facility modifications. This role requires hands-on involvement in planning, coordinating, and executing the move, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while optimizing the new layout for efficiency, safety, and productivity. **Job Title: Industrial Engineer** **Location: Bellingham, WA.** **Job type & Duration : 3- 6 plus Months Contract , Onsite ( M-F)** **Responsibilities:** + Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for the new factory layout + Coordinate with all internal stakeholders. + Coordinate activities of all external contractors. + Create timelines, budgets, and resource plans for all facility changes + Lead and oversee the safe disassembly and documentation of existing production lines. + Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and transportation of machinery, tooling, and materials. + Plan the required facility layout changes, utilities planning (power, air, water, network), and equipment staging. + Design optimal production line layout using lean manufacturing principles + Specify equipment modifications required and/or recommended. + Oversee installation, calibration, and validation of equipment in new locations + Perform time studies and line balancing to ensure optimal throughput + Maintain detailed records of the move process, layouts, timelines, and lessons learned + Provide regular progress reports to leadership + Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards + Conduct risk assessments and support EHS initiatives throughout the line moves. + Other tasks as required. **Education & Work Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field + 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering roles **Functional Skills:** + Proven experience in production line relocation and setup + Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, layout optimization, and process flow analysis + Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and project management software + Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills + Ability to work independently and manage contractors or temporary labor **Behavioral Skills:** + Strong communication, interpersonal & organizational skills. + Good verbal and written English skills.
