ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.Install and upgrade electrical components and systems, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and control systems.Collaborate with the production team to address electrical concerns.Clean and lubricate pumps, compressors, and other equipment.Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration activities.Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure proper installation and functionality of electrical systems.Install, disassemble, and move industrial machinery and equipment.Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and food safety standards.Follow and enforce safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to prevent accidents and injuries.Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately.Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements.Work safely and maintain a clean work environment.Comply with dress code and mandatory PPE requirements.Report safety hazards to the supervisor.Provide training and guidance to other maintenance staff.Follow all Food Safety, HACCP, Quality, and Operational procedures (SOPs) as defined in the Quality Management System.Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.Respond promptly to emergency situations involving electrical systems, providing quick and effective solutions to restore functionality.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsValid Washington State Journeyman Electrician (EL01) license.Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a licensed electrician.Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.Ability to obtain and maintain necessary permits or certifications.Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures for working with electrical systems.Safety-oriented with a high level of focus and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsTroubleshooting, electrical, wiring, blueprint, PLC troubleshooting, conduit, industrial, schematic, install, repair, conduit bending, pulling wire, bending conduit, preventive maintenance, 3 phase.Adaptable, resourceful, and a willingness to learn.Why Work Here?This position offers competitive compensation and is eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, accrued paid time off, personal medical and parental leave, paid holidays, and family care benefits. Work EnvironmentMust be available to work day and afternoon shifts, with weekend work and overtime hours as required. The role involves exposure to varying temperatures including production, warehouse coolers, and freezers. Work in tight spaces, above ceilings, on ladders and scaffolding is necessary. May need to lift over 50 lbs. Allergen exposure may occur, and wearing PPE such as safety boots, hair nets, and lab coats is mandatory. No jewelry is allowed on the production floor.
