**Job Title: Industrial Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment, demonstrating a strong ability to troubleshoot and modify PLC-based equipment. This role requires proficiency in working with AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and electronic controls. The ability to interpret drawings and schematics and effectively use computer-based software is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Receive work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, routine repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance.
+ Interpret drawings and sketches to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
+ Repair, rebuild, and test electrical components to ensure equipment is operational swiftly and efficiently.
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints, and schematics, with knowledge of 3-phase electricity.
+ Diagnose problems and failures to repair a variety of equipment, including presses and machines.
+ Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of required tools and equipment.
+ Maintain tools and equipment to ensure their availability in safe operating condition.
+ Understand mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls.
+ Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
**Essential Skills**
+ Five years of experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to use computer-based software to complete job tasks.
+ Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC-based equipment.
+ Proficiency with AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, electronic controls, and control panels.
+ Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
+ Proper use of tools and measuring devices with a safe work mentality.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an industrial electrician in heavy industrial facilities.
+ Experience using multi-meters and working with 3-phase motors.

**Work Environment**
This position requires working in a non-climate controlled environment, with temperatures varying from hot in the summer to cold in the winter. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times. The role involves working a swing shift of 4/12s, with rotating days and nights, paired up in teams of electricians and millwrights.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOBILE, Alabama.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
