India Money and Power Team Leader
Bloomberg News is one of the biggest financial and business news organizations in the world. We lead the way in breaking news and providing analysis on financial markets, from daily coverage through to in‑depth features. We are known for our quality, accuracy and ability to deliver news investors can use. It’s what keeps us inventing and reinventing, all the time.
We're looking for a seasoned editor or reporter to lead our Money and Power team in India. The ideal candidate thrives on getting behind major breaking stories, pursues exclusives with urgency, and brings the technical expertise to deliver ambitious, in‑depth narratives on the country’s rapidly evolving finance, investment and credit sectors.
In this role, you will work closely with reporters on the ground to guide compelling coverage of India’s shifting financial landscape — from Wall Street banks’ investment and acquisition boom, to the rise and missteps of high‑frequency trading firms, and the ways private equity and credit players are seizing opportunities and navigating pitfalls. You will also work with reporters to shape ideas and deliver stories at the intersection of money and power — how the rich deploy their wealth to influence politics and how these intertwined forces reverberate through markets and the broader global economy.
We are seeking a leader with a clear vision, the ability to prioritize resources, and the skill to guide our reporters in pursuing the scoops and enterprise stories that matter most. To excel, you should bring a deep understanding of banking, credit, asset management, and the real estate market; the ability to translate complex financial ideas into clear, conversational prose; and a keen eye for crafting engaging enterprise stories that bring to life the people who move the markets. This role will report to Asia’s finance managing editor.
