Extended Reality (XR) team is passionate about solving customer problems with the newest technologies. The team is responsible for creating breakthrough capabilities, delivering frictionless experiences. The applications and services built on these capabilities are used by hundreds of millions of customers daily. The team is responsible for building immersive experience which helps our customers to make decision on what they are buying and fits their need.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide. 

Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to a small group of highly skilled and motivated engineers.

Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.  

Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products. 

Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross- functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements);

Writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; collaborating with the project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on- time delivery and hand-offs;

Seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.

What You’ll bring

Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

3+ years of software engineering experience in developing services in Java/SpringBoot

3+ years of experience designing, building large distributed systems for high availability and scale

2+ years of experience in Data structures, algorithms.

Experience with Implementing various design patterns.

Experience in developing REST APIs and working with Microservices

Experience with Rest API, Message Brokers like Apache Kafka, ApacheMQ, Caches such as Redis or memcached, Elastic Search

3+ years of experience of developing services using managed servicing public cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP or AWS 

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases ( MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc)

Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies

Strong oral and written communication skills 

Good problem-solving attitude and analytical skills

Familiarity with Automation Tools
