Senior Manager – People Partner (HRBP)

Location: Bangalore
Reports to: Director – People Partner

Job Summary:

Incumbent will be responsible for supporting multiple tech orgs, with teams across Bangalore & Chennai, with headcount ~1200 to begin with.Serve as the primary HR partner to business leaders (Directors, Sr. Directors, Group Directors) within a global, matrixed GCC environment.Drive the people strategy for assigned business units, aligning local execution with global frameworks.Collaborate seamlessly with US People Partners and own delivery of annual talent processes - including promotions, performance management, talent potential review & succession planning, with strong calibration, fairness, and data-backed insights.Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, associate relations, and change management, especially in ambiguous or high-growth contexts.Partner with COEs (TA, Rewards, L&D) to deliver integrated people solutions tied to People plan for the org.Leverage people analytics to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and influence business and leadership decisions.Act as a culture carrier and bar-raiser, reinforcing high performance, inclusion, and leadership standards.Anticipate and manage associate relations risks, ensuring consistent, legally compliant, and principled outcomes.Contribute to IDC central people team initiatives to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.

What You’ll Do

10–14+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant time as an HRBP in large, fast-paced, global organizations. Experience in a matrixed and multi-stakeholder environment. Prior experience in GCCs, Big Tech or Product orgs, or large matrixed enterprises strongly preferred.Essentially, ability to operate with ambiguity, speed, and ownership, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on executionCapability in org design, talent planning, performance management, and succession planning at scale.Demonstrated success driving complex change (growth, restructuring, leadership transitions, new operating models).Highly data-driven; comfortable using metrics and narratives to influence senior leadership decisions.Experience of handling employee relations cases, with sound judgment in sensitive situations.Executive communication skills — concise, direct, and business-first.

What will you do:

Defines the human resources strategy to support assigned business area by understanding strategic business goals and objectives advising on the execution of organizational change initiatives assessing human resources implications of various strategies providing guidance to business leaders on human resources issues

Drives consistent execution of the company's human resource practices systems and personnel related activities by auditing human resources practices analyzing and interpreting reports creating action plans to resolve instances of noncompliance conducting observations and investigations developing and delivering human resources methodology and process training programs and providing human resources advice and consulting for managers

Directs human resource and business data analysis and management by collaborating with cross functional partners to identify collect and analyze data conducting data analysis on cross functional data identifying and escalating risks and concerns interpreting and summarizing data for reports and presentations making data driven recommendations administrating and utilizing Share Point and other collaborative tools creating and maintaining reports reporting tools and templates and maintaining information security and confidentiality

Manages and monitors compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations and company policies and procedures by keeping current on laws and regulations related to general human resource practices and regulations related to licensure and certification implementing and monitoring human resource compliance implementing action plans to improve performance and reduce instances of noncompliance and directing the management teams in ensuring confidentiality of information documentation and assigned records
