Calculation Consultant (UK Pension Administration) Do you enjoy implementing solutions as part of a collaborative project team? Do you have knowledge of individual member DB pension calculations for UK Pension Schemes? Do you have knowledge of UK Pension Legislation relating to DB pension schemes? We are looking for a driven individual to join our Business Systems team and provide administration teams with the system functionality and automation they need to administer the pension scheme. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from either our Birmingham, Glasgow or Sheffield offices. What the day will look like + Liaising with stakeholders / attending team meetings to fully define and agree the calculation requirements to support UK DB Pension schemes + Creating the automated calculations using the EQ Administrator ParaCalc tool + Testing automated calculations created to prove the results are as expected + Working with Administration Teams ((UK and India) to deliver training and ongoing support on how to run the automated calculations in EQ Administrator + Covering the Calculation Help Desk within Aon to resolve any issues raised for existing automated calculations How this opportunity is different As a Calculation Coder, you will get the opportunity to interact with a wide range of colleagues and teams across our Pensions Administration business. You’ll work on client projects and play a key part in defining calculation requirements and creating the automated calculations. This will include interacting with external clients and scheme actuaries as part of a wider project team. In this role you’ll get to shape the solutions for automated calculations by being able to present options and approaches to agree with the project team the best solution. You will also provide first level support for the administration teams (UK and India) using the automated calculations to help them understand how to run them and answer any questions they have. Your delivery will directly contribute to the ‘Aon Story’. Having a strong network of colleagues for support is pivotal for your individual development, and your network of colleagues will naturally increase rapidly from day one. Individual development within role will be fast paced, with new and interesting challenges presenting themselves through changes in pensions legislation and industry initiatives. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Be proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to own and deliver the best solutions for Aon + 2 to 3 years experience of performing manual DB member calculations, or creating automated DB member calculations + Strong understanding of UK DB Penson Scheme legislation + Have strong time-management skills, able to prioritise and manage several projects + Ability to identify project risks/issues, and work with internal stakeholders to mitigate + Experience in working with and creating MS Excel proforma calculations + Experience of testing and implementing software in a controlled and managed environment + Proficient with SQL + Strong communication skills (written and verbal) How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
