Position Summary: West Marine Pro is seeking a Pro Inbound Sales Representative to service Pro Customers across the channel. The Inbound Sales Representative is a proactive and results-driven individual. This role is essential to delivering outstanding customer service while also identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first attitude, and a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets. Compensation Structure: In this role, you will be compensated with a fixed hourly wage plus 2% commission on margin dollars of sales that you place. You will receive regular pay based on the hours worked, with payments made on a consistent schedule. Primary Responsibilities: Customer Interaction and Sales + Handle incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally. + Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience through all sales interactions. + Place customer orders, answer customer’s inquiries, and provide accurate information about products and services. + Coordinates sales efforts with marketing programs; promotes product/company focuses. + Serves as a point of contact and assists in maintaining relationships with accounts. + Keeps detailed records of customer interactions and transactions by utilizing Salesforce for activity tracking. + Staying updated on new products, features, and industry trends. + Provides support to colleagues when needed Problem Resolution: + Diagnose and troubleshoot customer problems, offering solutions and alternatives. + Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate departments when necessary. + Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved. Education, Experience & Skills: Minimum education required/preferred, area of study: + Minimum High School or GED. + Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum years of relevant experience preferred/required: + 2+ years Sales experience + 3+ years Customer service experience + Proficient knowledge of marine products and/or the marine industry required. Additional skills/knowledge required include: + Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills + Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Computer literate, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word + Ability to foster relationships with customers. + Proficient in Salesforce Service or Sales Cloud preferred
