As a shining example, our CEO started as an entry level employee in our San Francisco office 31 years ago. + 15,000 trained professionals + 250+ locations worldwide + Fortune 500 + Globally unified systems An Expeditors Import Transportation Agent responsibility may include: + Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow + Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system. + Track and trace Air and Ocean Import files as required. + Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments. + Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes. + Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing. + Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards. + Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies, and others) + Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer's policies / requirements. + Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency (Your Opinion Matters!) + Meet KPI (metrics) standards, as per the company procedures. + Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external) Requested qualifications for an Expeditors Import Transportation Agent: + 0-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience + Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results + Pro-active, strong organizational skills + Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) + Fluent in English – reading and writing + Understanding of air documentation process a plus Expeditors offers excellent benefits: + Paid Vacation (first year prorated based off month of hire then eligible for 15 days)  + Annual Paid Holidays (10) + Potential Flexible Days (2) + Paid Sick Time (accrual rate of 1 hour of sick time per 30 hours paid, unused rolls over) + 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer match (Pre-Tax or Roth) + Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) + Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental & Vision Coverage + Health Savings Account (HSA) + Life and Disability Insurance + Paid Parental Leave (additional eligibility criteria) + Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DC FSA) + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Training and Personnel Development Program + Position is full time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday
