Job Description
This role involves extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel testing for software implementations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards while executing test plans and validating data. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
ResponsibilitiesSoftware Implementation: Assist in the implementation of Alliant Royalties software, ensuring all financial data is accurately migrated and integrated.UAT Testing: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate the software meets business requirements and functions correctly.Parallel Testing: Perform parallel testing to compare the new system's outputs with the existing system, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Task Cases: Develop and execute detailed task cases to test various scenarios and functionalities within the software.Data Analysis: Utilize Excel, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables, to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of testing processes, results, and any issues encountered, providing clear and actionable feedback to the implementation team.Collaboration: Work closely with the IT department, software vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure a smooth implementation process.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and journal entries.Strong skills in UAT Testing'sExperience with Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUPS.Experience in working with large data sets Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance.3 – 7 years of accounting experience.Work EnvironmentThis position is based at the corporate headquarters, with on-site work required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr.
