Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Location: Edmonton, Alberta (In-office)

Our client is a well-established immigration law firm seeking a detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join their growing team. This role offers hands-on involvement in a wide range of Canadian immigration matters and direct client interaction in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications to IRCC, AAIP, and related authorities (temporary residence, permanent residence, work permits, study permits, family sponsorships, etc.)Manage client files from intake to completion, including tracking deadlines and maintaining accurate recordsCommunicate directly with clients to gather documentation, provide updates, and explain processesDraft correspondence, forms, and supporting documentationLiaise with government agencies, third parties, and internal team membersMaintain compliance with Alberta and federal immigration regulationsAssist lawyers with ongoing file management and administrative support as neededQualifications:Previous experience in Canadian immigration law  as a legal assistant or paralegal is preferredStrong knowledge of IRCC processes and immigration forms is preferredExcellent organization, attention to detail, and time-management skillsProfessional and confident client communication skillsAbility to manage multiple files and competing deadlinesParalegal diploma or Legal Assistant certificate is an assetWhy Join:Meaningful, client-focused workSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity for professional growth in immigration lawCompetitive compensation based on experienceBenefits providedParking available
