Job Description
As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating all equipment necessary to properly package finished products. This includes loading, unloading, storing, sampling, and transferring raw materials, finished products, and miscellaneous items. You will also maintain equipment through proper lubrication, minor repairs or adjustments, and report all malfunctions and needed repairs. Accurate and complete record-keeping, routine sanitation, and cleaning of plant equipment and facilities are essential duties. You will assist in training new packagers and perform material handling duties in compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards. Effective communication with team members and participation in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects are also expected.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean and well-maintained pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. Temperatures can range from 40 degrees in the winter to 80 degrees in the summer. High cleanliness standards are maintained. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toe shoes. This is a long-term contract position with potential for direct hire if positions become available. Employees must be clean-shaven in production areas, as beard nets are not permitted.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
